My son needed this for a third grade math project. Weird, I know, but the book was in good condition and served its purpose.
Very fond memories of taking my own children to Dave's Down-to-Earth Rock Shop so had to get a copy for my grandson!
My fifth graders loved getting read too! This was a great hook for a classroom review.
Nkce book for beginning rock hunters.
We used this book to guide our second graders through a unit on rocks and minerals. It touched on all the big ideas in a way that second graders could truly understand.
I purchased this book for my 7 year old grandson and he loved it. He and his younger sister have a beginning rock collection, just like the kids in the book. They like to sort things by type, too, so they really enjoyed the story. Since we live in the Chicago suburbs, we are planning a trip to Dave's Down-to-Earth Rock Shop in Evanston.
