I'm trying to get into a top B-School, but my math/quant background is weak, so I needed something to help me get up to speed.So far, this book has been great. It's easy to follow (from my level), has on-point topics, and covers the breadth and depth for what it seems I'll need.One caveat is that it uses UK notation, not US. So, some of the standard variable usage and formulas are different, which takes some adjustment. However, I did actually appreciate that this caused me to have to reach a better understanding of them rather than just applying wrote memory.

Not great. I find the explanations unnecessarily dense. Examples are provided but usually only one per concept. Exercises are in the back of each chapter, though they would be more effective interspersed throughout the book. I would not recommend it.

Used this as a study guide for B-school entrance exam. Very well organized. Easy to understand. If your trying to improve your quant skills, this is your book.

This primer hits all the high points. A thorough study of it will prepare you well for the math required for business school. It includes all the statistics, probability, algebra and calculus that B school students need to know. I recommend it highly.

Concise and precise enough to be a good guide to use to recall math behind various MBA studies. Flows well and covers enough. Definitely worth the price.

Very clear explanations of key concepts. I have found the statistics primer to be especially relevant as a second resource to my stats textbook.

This book is a great addition to the supply chain management genre—the author ties together all SCM functions in a readable manner—demystifying complex concepts.I found the content well-thought-out as it introduces the reader to basic “SCM 101” business practices while not neglecting to cover more advanced subjects such as optimization and analytics planning.All in all, I have found this book geared towards facilitating learning and as a reliable, up-to-date reference. A great refresher for those working in the field or for others who are just getting started in supply chain management.

I've worked in supply chain management for nearly 3 decades with the world's largest consumer products company. Even with my supply chain logistical management experience, I still found Daniel's book both a great read and full of very good info & tips which I can put to use in my current job. Great book--highly recommend for both the novice & the supply chain expert!

The book is an excellent introduction to all the diverse elements of supply chain and its all encompassing management. Daniel hasn't missed a topic. Would like it to become a more indepth solutions manual down some of the more divergent paths.

Daniel Stanton is a recognized supply chain leader with strong academic credentials. Has has captured the forest and the trees (the important ones) of supply chain management in this book. It's an easy read as well. This book will serve you well.
