An excellent book crammed full of amazing ideas for roleplaying campaigns. Totally system agnostic, no stats, and while it skews a bit more toward the fantasy side, most of the stuff applies to any genre. The authors' voice is funny and informative, and yet concise, efficient, and easy to read. Makes total sense, given their podcast experience.To the reviewer who states that the book doesn't have anything that wasn't in the podcast, I actually believe there's some original content. And, besides, collecting it all into a single repository is well worth the price.
This book is full of useful Ideas. The price is great and if you have not checked out their Podcast its amazing! The only down fall to this book it will leave you wanting more! It's well organized and perfect price for the amount you get! It basically descriptions of adventure hooks, items, and characters no actually stats or numbers so it can be used in any system. In fact I have used an idea from this book in my Shadow run game!
It's a fantastic reference to their stellar podcast. I bought it as a fast reference guide and to support the wonderful Podcast. It's a reasonably priced addition that I recommend for anyone running a gaming group.

Definitely leaves you wanting more but for the price it is well worth it. I've only had it for a month and it has given me a few solid ideas for my campaign. Makes me wonder what these guys could do if given more time and backing.
Lots of useful stuff in a small quick read
The Exemplary Tome of Gadgets is a fantastic reference and compilation of the Exemplary DM Podcast. Written with the wit and cleverness we have come to expect from Chad and William, this book serves as a handy tool through which you may flip and gain inspiration for your games THIS VERY NIGHT! It's well produced and very worth the small price! Highly reccomended!
There are some OK Ideas here ( I wish there were more ideas and less "detail" ), but sadly not really worth the money.
