This e-book provided a very good overview of the country, of life for an Expat in Saudi Arabia, and zoned in with more detailed information for several specific and common areas. I recommend this for anyone going to work in Saudi Arabia or considering the opportunity.

It's a pretty straightforward listing of information; several personal stories at the end offer only a little color. I was dismayed to read that Jeddah was "initially a quaint fisherman's settlement on the shore of the Gulf Coast..." --isn't it on the Gulf?

It seemed like a long list of facts that I probably could have found without buying the book. Some personal stories with some added humor would have made it a better read.

Our little one loves the Ollie Books so it was natural we bought this one. I think this is the shortest in length. I do love the artwork in this one. The hearts are a metalic material and at the end there is a mirror in the Valentine so the baby can see themselves in the book. That part in particular is our baby's favorite. I do wish they had written it in a way that Ollie wasn't so whiny. (Sadly seems to be a trend in these books).

Cute characters. Expected more of a story. Just very disappointing. I thought it would have had a little nice story, but it was barely a couple words on each of the few pages considered to be this joke of a book

This book is the most charming Valentine I could ever imagine! The little one I sent it towas enchanted by it and especially the end (won't spoil the surprise). Olivier Dunreais a wonderful author and illustrator of such charming characters like Ollie, Gerdie and Peedie!

My girls love the Gossie and Friends books. My 1 year old really likes the mirror at the end of the book.

Adorable book. Love all the books in this series. Got this as a gift for our niece who was 4 months old at the time.

About the Author

Damien EcholsDAMIEN ECHOLS was born in 1974 and grew up in Mississippi, Tennessee, Maryland, Oregon, Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. When he was 18, Damien and two other young men were wrongfully convicted of murder, eventually becoming known as the West Memphis Three. Having received a death sentence, Damien spent almost two decades on death row, until he was released in 2011. While in prison, Damien was ordained into the Rinzai Zen Buddhist tradition. He is the subject of Paradise Lost, a three-part documentary series produced by HBO, and West of Memphis, a documentary produced by Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh. Damien is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Life After Death and Yours For Eternity (with his wife Lorri Davis).   Damien teaches classes on magick around the country and works as a visual artist. His artwork entails glyphs, sigils, and symbols designed to bypass the conscious mind and speak directly to the subconscious, combining magick techniques with his own alphabet and writing system to break down concepts and scenarios into abstract designs. Mr. Echols's trials as an innocent death row inmate, his training in Rinzai Buddhism and Western occultism, and his love for his fellow humans combine to create a masterpiece in esoteric studies. A must for all those drawn to the art and science of Magick.

This man had been exposed to a torture of several extremely powerful and ruthless egregores and lived to tell the story which is for utmost respect and admiration. As book is concerned reading it was a refreshing experience. If you are seasoned magician you probably won't find any radically new concepts, but you can sense a special kind of power behind the words which gives you a new perspective on standard techniques of energy work and magick in general. That is why I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Magick.

Its great that this information is coming from someone who’s always been interested in learning about all aspects of spirituality and putting it all together. I love that we can learn from this book, from a person who has utilized their spirituality to better themselves and make it through the worst possible situations.

I was really touched by this book. The explanations of how magick works and why are conveyed in such a clear and direct way. I haven’t had any other book click the way this one did. I’ve been studying the occult for more than half my life. Cerimonial magick seemed confusing and I didn’t even know where to begin. I avoided it before. With High Magick I was able to jump right into the lessons. Damien explains them in a enthusiastic and humble way. It’s very welcoming to folks new to learning about magick. I feel like I’m learning things for the first time, too. It’s really fun. I’m already applying magicak techniques and meditations into my everyday life. I wish the book was longer.

I've been practicing magick for several years now. I've been in hermit mode these past few years, healing old wounds. I've only started doing the basic meditations described in the book as Damien wisely advises to master the basics before moving onto more advanced techniques. I've already noticed a difference in my dreams and stress levels. I hope Damien writes more magick books. He knows his stuff.

The whole backstory of Damien Echols and the West Memphis Three case is amazing. What amazes me more is how Damien chose to react to what was being done to him while being falsely imprisoned on death row.Instead of allowing himself to be bitter and angry he developed a series of techniques to focus on instead of his horrific surroundings and at the same time brought about his own spiritual growth.The techniques he shares in this book are those which helped to save his life described in vivid detail. Along the way he dispels the myth and misconceptions of what Magick is.I know I’ll be reading this multiple times.

A great resource for the topics of consciousness and of course magic. As I was not even looking for a book on magic or did not know who Damien Echols was till November 3rd of this year, I'm probably not the best reviewer of this topic. However, this book was brought into my life for a reason. What I like is that this book offers something for someone like me who is inexperienced in these topics but seems to include some detailed knowledge for others. I have only read parts of the book because I am not currently interested in practicing the rituals. I think Damien introduces his topics well so I don't feel intimidated by the books content as he encourages the reader to develop a simple understanding of energy and introduces practices in meditation first before moving on.I think this book will do well and offer many great insights into consciousness.Thank You Damien.Nicole in Albuquerque
