They were invaluable for reviewing for the final examinations and I used them while I was taking "open book" exams. Practical and Extremely well organized... The proof? I am now enrolled in the next Smicha program and this time I am working directly with Rabbi Goldstein on Shabbos!

This book is full of useful Ideas. The price is great and if you have not checked out their Podcast its amazing! The only down fall to this book it will leave you wanting more! It's well organized and perfect price for the amount you get! It basically descriptions of adventure hooks, items, and characters no actually stats or numbers so it can be used in any system. In fact I have used an idea from this book in my Shadow run game!

It's a fantastic reference to their stellar podcast. I bought it as a fast reference guide and to support the wonderful Podcast. It's a reasonably priced addition that I recommend for anyone running a gaming group.

As an Action Bible for younger children, the images in this book are fantastic (they're fantastic for older kids too, but the story is a bit more simplified). The colors and detail draw the eye and there is plenty on each page for a child to spend time looking at and many of the images can spark further conversation.However, the actual narrative of the book is not what I had hoped for. As a storybook, I expected for it to simply be the stories, minus much of the gore and violence, that take place in the Bible. And that would have been phenomenal, giving the opportunity for younger kids to become invested in the story of plagues and Israel wondering the desert. Yet instead, the chapters group multiple stories together, sometimes leaving only one or two pages per narrative.Doing this forced the author to give an interpretation of events (which left out a lot) rather than giving the events and then offering the parents questions to ask their kids about what they had read. Along with this, there were numerous instances where things were stated as fact when they truly were not facts. In the story about Cain and Abel, for instance, it states that Adam and Eve only had three children, which is not possible if Adam and Eve were the first people and everyone descended from them. While the implication of this reality is not something that young children need to know about, it is also unnecessary to make a statement to children that is false, when it is unlikely that a child of such a young age would question whether or not Adam and Eve had other descendants in the first place.For younger children around 3-5, the pictures in this book and the streamlined version of the Biblical narratives are suitable for instruction. And for older children, the images would be helpful in catching their attention and allowing them to visualize the story. However, for these ages, I feel that the narrative presented leaves a lot to be desired from something presented as a Bible (even if it is a storybook version) and would caution parents to take that into consideration when deciding whether or not to purchase this for their children.I have provided an honest review after having received a copy of this in ebook form through Litfuse.

What a great way to introduce the bible to my 8 year old. Even my 22 year old said "If this is what I had, I would have actually read the bible.". Helps kids see that religion doesn't have to be stale and boring and they can see the excitement of the stories and lessons being told.

THEY HAD IT. HE LOVES IT!!! I CATCH HIM ON HIS OWN TURNING THE PAGES AND BEING EXCITED ABOUT GOD, JESUS AND OTHER LEADERS AND PEOPLE REPRESENTED AMONG THE PAGES. MY MOM BOUGHT THEM FOR MY NEPHEWS AND THEN FOUND OUT MY SISTER-IN-LAW SAW MY SON'S AND BOUGHT THEM SO I GAVE THEM AS PRESENTS DURING OUR GIFT EXCHANGE AND THE KIDS LOVE THEM.

Perfect for the early elementary child wanting a slightly more grown-up storybook Bible. My olders have The Action Bible, and while it’s a GREAT addition to their Bible collection, some of the illustrations are a little too much for my five-year-old (particularly those in Revelation). But this is the perfect middle ground. Older-kid styled illustrations, but not too graphic.

Bought this to read with a first grader whom I mentor. It's a great introduction into reading the bible, learning about God, and learning some of the key ideas that God presents. Some examples are: the attractiveness of sin "the fruit looked delicious and it was delicious", the difficulty of doing what God wants when everyone else is doing the wrong thing (the story of Noah), and trusting that God will keep His promises (Abraham and Sarah waiting for a child, and Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac). I've found this bible to be tremendously helpful for helping my young friend work through some of his challenges at school. The stories are definitely condensed, but they effectively communicate key ideas about God and our lives so that a young person can begin building a foundational understanding of God and begin navigating the decisions of everyday life. The graphics are beautiful and captivating, the reading level is a bit beyond my first grade friend so we read it together or I read it to him while he looks at the pictures and reads along, and each story has a nice closing page with a summary, reflection questions, and personal prayer. I like this storybook bible a lot and I would recommend it to anyone with a first grader or older. I think the graphics and content are captivating enough to keep a 5th grader interested and the reading level is appropriate for most elementary age kids.

I bought one of these for my 4 year old and we wEnjoy reading at night before bed. Some of the read is a little above his head so I have to simplify a little for his understanding. But, I think it will be great to grow with him. I can see us reading the whole bible over and over again with this animated version. I've already ordered three more as gifts.

this is wonderful for kids who are younger. Stories are simple and quick and the images are very well done.My kids will often just sit and look at the pictures.We have now read the book through multiple times and my kids continue to love it and want to start over again as soon as we make it through.

My 5 year old asked for this book every night for a couple weeks. The comic book style layout really captured his interest and the stories are boiled down for easier reading for the little ones (while still capturing the essentials). I will say that a few of the chapters were a little old for my 5 year old, but it led to a lot of questions which is always nice. Will definitely look for other offerings like this.
