Perfect condition

Not being a connoisseur of luxury wristwatches I still appreciate their beauty and history. This catalog goes into great detail and provides me all the reading material I could want. In particular I liked the inclusion of prices and discovered the availability of a few "affordable" (sub $1K) lines which was a nice bonus. It's a thick volume with high-quality photographs presented in an informative structured, outline. If there's a competing catalog I'd love to see what more can be offered because this one seems to cover it all.

As a lover of Horology, I have bought many magazines, books & periodicals over the years. I believe "Wristwatch Annual" is one of the tomes' that has all the pertinent information one could desire with regard to any specific watch or Manufacture. I have been buying "Wristwatch Annual" for about 8 years now, and this edition does not disappoint.

Buy this catalog. It is better than the field. At least the movement source is listed. A better job should be done on which conglomerate currently owns which luxury watch brand.

An excellent survey of the major European watch manufactures and designers. The graphics are excellent. Very little discussion or writeups on the Asian manufacturers. As someone new to watch collecting I found it fascinating and well worth the modest cost. I loved looking at million dollar watches but I would also like to see writeups and comments on watches costing less than one thousand dollars. I will definitely buy next years edition. Amazon's service was excellent as we have come to expect.

I started as a watch collector back in January 2009. In the beginning it was quite confusing because I felt in love with all watches I saw. But since then I have sold a lot of various watches, and found my own line. After I bought the 2010 Wristwatch Annual, I enjoy my hobby even more. The book gives me a huge knowledge of what I need for understanding the market for watches. The book is full of beautiful photos of some of the Worlds most awesome timepieces and what's under the hood. After "chewing" my way through the book, I use it as reference book when I check prices at e.g. eBay and the like. Also the glossary part of the book is excellent. It describes in easy and well understanding terms all the strange words you will meet when reading description of watches. I can highly recommend this book - buy it... You will never regret it !

This book is a useful reference tool for pricing and a little history of most watch brands.

Most of the other reviews have covered the content of this book rather well, and so there isn't much more to add to that. My only problem with this is that the print quality is rather poor. Text is difficult to read, and some pages look as if they were printed out on a home computer rather than an actual book publisher. One more issue is how small this book is, or rather what little content is offers for the price. I don't see the value in this book compared to some of the Pinnacle core books or other third party books made for Savage Worlds. My first thought seeing it was "This is it? That's all there is?"Had the print quality been better, the sparse page count / lack of content for the cost wouldn't have been such a big deal, but I can't help but to feel that this book is overpriced.

I ordered this book along with the core book and found out that it is much more than a monster manual for Beasts & Barbarians. It provides ten creatures/NPC with a complete adventure for each of them. For me this is way more interesting than a simple critters collection. The adventures are well distributed among the dominions and offer diversified opportunities and threats to the PCs. Only negative comment is the quality of the printing: while readable, the background of the pages is darker than in the core book. This does not enhance the reading experience. Without this, I would have given 5 stars to Beasts of the Dominions.

If you have and enjoy the Beasts and Barbarians book than you will definitely enjoy this expansion. I love the idea of a bestiary that is filled with stories and adventures to go along with the monsters. This is excellent for a GM who needs a break or to plug in a "side mission" between quests. I actually expanded one adventure (The Thannas) into a full blown campaign and my players are really digging it! However, as mentioned by some others, it does feel a little lacking for the cost. It is a small book and while the quality is excellent I think maybe a few more adventures or perhaps a couple dozen more monsters (plain bestiary style) would have made it a more worth-while purchase. Still, this is a good buy if you enjoy the Dominions and wish to expand the world a little.

This is a nice collection of creatures and adventure ideas. By it's nature, more for the GM, but worth a pick up for a SW GM. If you are doing a B&B game, I'd upgrade it to must get for the additional background.

This is the PERFECT monster book for a swords and sandals or swords and sorcery game. I wish it was twice as long.

The first GRAmel book I'm not crazy about. It has some good content, but I feel like this could have been a pdf only release. As usual, GRAmel put the book together nicely, but I wouldn't buy the print version unless you're a fan of GRAmel's books.

This is a useful addition to your library if you have any interest in running the setting laid out in 'Beasts & Barbarians'. It provides 10 relatively short scenarios that you can drop into your campaign, set indifferent locations across the Dread Sea Dominions, and each with a different feel. The only thing I really believe is missing are perhaps some maps to he help guide the GM a bit better in adventure placement, but then again if your campaign doesn't focus much on what goes on between adventures (i.e. traveling), it probably doesn't matter.If you are a player in the B&B campaign, there is a section for creating a 'Disciple of the Black Temple', either as a character carrying out the orders of a powerful sorcerer or as one who has turned his back (foolishly) on his dark master.Overall, I found the book to be a good read, even if I never get a chance to use all the great ideas it includes. It is a nice expansion of the B&B lore if nothing else.

In addition to presenting a wealth of new material from Fuller's archives it also arranges and presents Bucky's life and works in an innovative format that emphasizes the larger view of his work and the natural progression of his thoughts. The authors have taken the time to do the re-search which allowed them to see the larger picture. This book about Bucky's life and inventions goes from the whole to the particular.One example of the thoroughness of "Your Private Sky," compared to earlier books, is in it's handling of the Dymaxion house. This is the first book, I've seen, that includes drawings and photos of the initial square or rectangular 4D home. The authors have done a great job of ransacking Fuller's archives to find just the right images and words to convey the flow or progression of Bucky's designs. This was the first time I grasped how the work on the Dymaxion home designs was related to the latter invention of the Geodesic dome.Most of the never-before-published photos, drawings and writings in "Your Private Sky" were found in Bucky's Chronofile, the 300-foot long series of personal history files that Bucky started collecting in 1915. Except for the short introduction and chronology at the beginning of the book, all the material in this 522 page book consists of items selected from Bucky's Chronofile. The words are selections from Bucky's writings.The graphic design, printing and binding of "Your Private Sky" compliment the quality of its contents. The superior binding permits the pages to lie flat so you can view the hundreds of full bleed photographs including many two page spreads. The book's visual organization is excellent especially considering the variety of items and styles that had to be accommodated. My minor criticisms are that I would have liked to see more indexing and source information and a few less spelling and translation errors in this book.A superb book; it's well organized, packed with never before seen photos and drawings, thoughtfully arranged and edited, and printed and bound using first class materials and methods.

Because Bucky did his best to get his message out to as many people as possible, at a cost of $65 I am sure that this is not the type of book he would wanted to see produced. It seems like the book could have been printed in a less costly form and many of the graphics which were clearly just taken from video eliminated so that the material could be made available to more people at a lower price.That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the glorious visual aspect of this book. In my years spent researching my book "Buckminster Fuller's Universe" and working on other Fuller writing, I had not seen some of the photographs and illustrations displayed here. This is a must have for any Bucky fan.I don't recommend it as an introduction to the ideas and wisdom of Fuller because, as is true with almost all of Fuller's writing, the ideas need to be studied not read over once, and this book does not provide a complete enough picture to be a good study guide. Look to the writing of others for your introduction to Bucky, and look to this book to add to your understanding of a man who is recognized as one of the great thinkers, geniuses and Renaissance men of modern times.

I was looking forward to receivinging this book .........The newly published book was just what I expected. It contains Bucky's whole life history and his various ideas that arised during his life such as the famous geodesic dome, dymaxion products, tensegrity, world game and so on. Many are what I have not obtained so far in detail from other literatures already published. So they are extremely usefull and fun to me. The most important thing that I could get from the book is that I could feel strong power to live the daily life again with fresh dreams.

This is a great little book of modern fantasy, it is written by a skilled Abenaki storyteller. The book is billed in the description as a juvenile horror story but it is really more of a juvenile adventure story coming of age hero tale with some supernatural, wilderness, and mystery elements worked in. The plot centers around a well paced and exciting treasure hunting adventure, a struggle with some criminals, and an encounter with a mysterious creature. However the heart of this book is a glimpse at the worldview of the the traditional Abenaki culture especially as it relates to traditional stories, myths, and legendary creatures. It's a gem, highly recommended.

The Native American Abenaki people have a legend about a huge flying creature called Pmola. It lives in the mountains, guards its treasure, and punishes trespassers harshly.To thirteen-year-old Paul, this legend has always been little more than a scary story, until the dreams start haunting him. Then, he and his Grandpa Peter run afoul of a ruthless treasure hunter who has heard the legend of Pmola. Soon, Paul's nightmares are taking on an even deeper meaning than he could have ever imagined.NIGHT WINGS is an exciting story that blends an ancient legend with modern criminals. So.... February 14th is a double whammy of a date for me.... its valentines day AND my 1st wedding anniversary. I was in search of something unique and special for my husband when I came across this particular book.I will start off by saying, there is nothing corny, sickly sweet or sexual about the journal. Its a personal, loving, heart felt account of how you feel about your partner. It is very unisex in design, and would make a great love token to a male or a female. The book is of a wonderful quality, deep red in color (not a hint of pink anywhere if this is a gift for a man), its hard back and has embossed love hearts on the front and back cover.I loved the set out of the journal, after each chapter there is a page to include extra thoughts, notes, photos and memories. Some examples of the contents are:*Our perfect day together would be....*At least 2 things that have improved in my life since we met...*The best advice you have ever given me is....*You bring out the best in me, specifically....*something we both admire in each other...*our most romantic moment was...*something I know about you that the rest of the world doesn't...*A significant milestone in our relationship...*Most memorable event adventures together...The pages go on and on...its amazing value for money. The only thing I would recommend is ordering this a good 1-2 months before you are planning to give it to a loved one. There are a lot of pages to work through and lots to think about!!!

I'm giving this to my husband for our 21st. Wedding Anniversay. I know he will love this book! You will have so much fun looking back on your memories and may have memories that she or he may have forgot. The book is very nice put together. It looks and feels more exspensive then it is. The pages are so nice, they are thick, so don't worry about the pen bleeding onto the page on the other side. You have funny memories, goofy ones, some I even came across I couldn't really answer lol..it has a nice red cloth like rubber stretchy to keep the book closed, and a pretty red ribbon that is attached to the book to keep bookmark. It's such a great book put together well. You might want to get this and give yourself like 2 weeks or not even that long, so you can really think, and write in your words from your heart, if your busy a lot, it may take a little bit to finish, just go to a nice quiet part of the house, and make sure you have a good place to hide it! LOL.. But the book isn't long to where your going to feel like it's a chore, nothing like that, some are just a few words they need and others may be just short of a paragraph, so don't think it's just going to be over whelming to get it done, I thought it was fun, remembering all the fun, funny times, romantic times, he or she will love it! Even if it's not a Annerversary, or Bday, this would be a great gift to give out of the blue! Guys if you do this for your Wife, you will melt their hearts! :) . I think husband would really like it to and touch their hearts

Ok, this is really cute. I bought this for my husband for Valentine's day. It is a really sweet gift and I do actually really like, however, it is not something you can fill out completely and give as a gift. Or at least that is how I felt. There were many pages that were speaking of how he woulr feel about me, or his thoughts on me when we were dating, etc. So... I filled out several pages and then put lil post it note saying we would have to do the rest together. So yes, this is super sweet but if you are wanting something to give that you have completed you may want to consider something else. (I did one of those love books before and that was a huge hit)

My husband and I have had an unexpectedly tumultuous first year of marriage. Shots have been fired from both sides and sometimes it feels like we are imploding. I saw this and thought it could be a beautiful way for me to focus on the positive and beautiful moments of our life together and something that could boost his spirits upon reading it. I plan to give this as a just-because gift. The prompts are wonderful and there is ample space to answer. I'm hoping this will also be something our daughter reads with joy one day when we are gone.

I purchased this three months before our wedding as a planned surprise gift for the day of. We've been together 8 years and even I'm having to stop and really think about answers to these questions.The book is beautiful, hard backed with an elastic band to keep it closed and a ribbon bookmark. The pages are cut evenly and each page has an embellishment in the background. There is also a small folder pocket in the very back cover that pleasantly surprised me.I've only answered through the first chapter so far, but the questions seem to be general enough that anyone can answer them while being deep enough to be sweet and leave pleasant memories for your partner to read.

This is a really great gift in so many ways. It's fun filling it out, because you get to relive lots of memories throughout your relationship in your head and record them on paper. It's great for the person who receives it as well. Amazing anniversary/birthday gift on a budget. It took me 3-4 hours to fill the book out, I'd recommend splitting it up over various days. Printing photos and pasting them in would add a significant amount of time to that number, so make sure you allocate enough time to fill this out before you're giving it to someone so you don't rush it like I had to. Do yourself a favor and order some tissues with this for whoever you're giving it to, they might need it :)

I love this book! I bought it for my husband of 27 years. It took me several weeks to fill out what I could, and I'm looking forward to filling out the rest with my husband. I bought it for him as a gift. It's a great way to record special thoughts and memories in our relationship. It will be nice to hand down to our daughter one day so she will have a written record of our relationship. I recommend it to any married couple of any age. Things can always be added as time passes.
