Short but sweet.I loved Samantha's books and this one is no different. It is amazing actually. The only thing that I don't like is that it is too short.Autum is really an amazing woman. She wears her heart on the sleeve, is always positive and gives everyone a try.Gray is a hot looking man who falls in love at first sight. He really is open-hearted and knows what he wants. He is after Autumn and doesn't give up.. he is relentless.The book has so much feels and is amazing.I also love the meaning of the title. It is so important and mentioned many times for a reason!If you read As Dust dances then you have to read this book to see what happens with Autum!
Holy hotness! Hold On is a steamy little read. For such a short book Samantha packed it full of emotion and sexy moments.Grayson King owned his own construction company in Cunningham Falls and during the winter he is a ski instructor.Autumn O' Dea is on holiday at the Snow Ghost Lodge in Cunningham Falls, Montana with two friends from Glasgow, Scotland. Autumn is determined to get her life figured out while on holiday, she needed a plan.Autumn is not a skier she had a bad experience when she was young but she figured she would give it a try.Autumn met Gray when she ran him over trying to ski. The two have great chemistry and an attraction that sizzles.
This was a nice, short and sweet story. As is usual, whenever I read a novella, I wished for more. But it was beautifully written and the characters had great chemistry. Also great to get a look at Killian and Skye again (love them!) and I enjoyed the “world†crossover.
This novella was so good! I loved Autumn in As Dust Dances, is I was thrilled when I found out this story was about her. When Autumn decided to take a vacation to clear her mind and get her priorities in order she isn’t expecting to literally run in to the man of her dreams. The chemistry between her and Grayson King is instant and can’t be denied. This story is fast paced and sexy and sweet. I’m sad it’s over I wasn’t ready for the book to end.
I’ll be honest. I’m not the biggest fan of novellas, unless it is a bonus story of a novel. Hold On was the perfect sweet and short read. We meet the heroine in the previous Play On novel. She has obviously had a tough life. I love how kind she is. The hero is such a hunk. This is a feel good story that can be read quickly. While I would have loved a full novel, I am satisfied with what we got. I totally believe this can be read as a stand-alone.
Ok so I RARELY give 2 stars but I’m struggling here not to give 1. I feel like because this was a crossover novel is why it felt so NOT like Young’s other books. And I have read most of them. Basically I don’t get why these people were together. His ridiculous way he spoke, there was NOTHING interesting about these two. Ugh. And I really like her other books. I know I know it’s romance. But you can still have a killer story with romance thrown in. There was none of that here. I was actually surprised when I was done. My feeling was “that’s it??†Very disappointing.
Let me start off with, I love Samantha Young. I think she's a fantastic writer. I was so excited to read Autumn's story. But this missed the mark. It was real bad. I couldn't even finish it. I'm all for suspending disbelief, but Disney princess movies are more realistic than this. I get it's a novella, but it's way too fast and just. Not good. I suppose I've learned my lesson to avoid novellas.
I love what Samantha Young brings with Hold On. There is just something amazing about Gray and Autumn. I love the instant love and pull between them. Watching them fall for each other is magical. I love how Gray shows Autumn how worthy she is of love and family. Even with a couple of obstacles to over come you can't help but to fall right along with them. This is a fantastic read that you will just have to experience for yourself.
